Kid to Kid stores* buy and sell previously owned child safety restraints that meet the following safety requirements recommended by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
- 5 years or newer (Many manufacturers “expire” seats after 6 years)
- Never been in an automobile accident
- Purchased from the original owner
- Checked for strap or structural damage
- Has the manufacturer’s label with model number & registration information
- Has manufacturer’s instructions (or availability online)
- Has not been recalled
When you purchase a car seat, be sure to register it so that you can be notified directly in the event of a recall. NHTSA has an easy to fill out form in case you haven’t done this already.
